• Research Associate

🎯 Project Area

•  Granular Mechanics, Simulation of particulate systems using CFD-DEM.
• Required Skills: Good understanding of granular mechanics, especially, flow of granular materials, and fluid dynamics. Familiarity with discrete element simulations for granular flows using LAMMPS or YADE. Knowledge of fluid flow simulations in OpenFOAM and its coupling with DEM will be desired but not necessary. The candidate should be willing to learn these topics. The candidate must be willing to learn and apply concepts such as kinetic theory for granular flows. 
•  Appointment Duration: One Year (May be extended by one year, twice upon satisfactory performance)

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Qualifications & experience as prescribed by Norms.

 PhD in relevant areas

Age: Candidates who are preferably not exceeding 35 years as on the closing date of the application, with relaxation to candidates belonging to OBC/ SC/ ST/ PWD categories and women applicants as per Government of India norms.

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹

The monthly remuneration for this position will be Rs. 61,000/- (Sixty-One Thousand Rupees Only). Hostel accommodation may be provided at the institute based on availability on a chargeable basis. In case of non-availability of institute hostel, admissible HRA will be provided as per the Government of India rules.
