🎯 Project Details
- Project entitled –“Application of the University of Calcutta ST Radar for characterizing the normal and severe weather conditions around the northern Bay of Bengal” funded by Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Govt. of India at the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta.
🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
For Junior Research Fellow: Candidates must have an M.E./M.Tech. in Radio Physics and Electronics, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or an M.Sc. in Atmospheric Science/Physics with a specialization in atmospheric science, with a first-class degree from a recognized university or institute.
For Project Assistant: Candidates should possess a B.Tech./Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, or Instrumentation.

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 37,000 per month + 27% HRA + Rs. 500/Medical allowance. The Fellow may be promoted to Senior Research Fellow after 2 years based on satisfactory performance.
Project Assistant: Rs. 20,000 per month + 27% HRA + Rs. 500/Medical allowance with a 15% increment after 3 years on satisfactory performance.
💺 JOB LOCATION
The place of duty will be the ST Radar Facility, Ionosphere Field Station, Mondouri, 24 Pgns (N), West Bengal 743145, University of Calcutta. Candidates may need to travel to other radar facilities in India for training and testing purposes.
